This route is the west side of the famous Green Swamp Loop. The full loop is completed by connecting to the Rockridge/Green Pond route included in the Florida Routes List. You can pick up this loop in Webster, Florida or at County Road 478 (East) off of US301. This route has lots of curves and some very uncharacteristic (for Florida) elevations. The roads are much better in terms of condition on the west side of the swamp as compared to the east side. The route takes you down to San Antonio/St. Leo where there are some decent places for lunch. Once past Dade City, you're going to experience very limited amenities...gas, food and the like until you come upon the Green Swamp General Store. This is the boonies, but it's a super cool ride.
