To put hwy 12 into few words, Id say...Amazing. The road seems to never end with corners, straight stretches, great Montana scenery, a few pull-offs, a restaurant, hotsprings, the list goes on. Every day Id get off from work in Missoula, I would head up HWY 12 to the first hotspring. The ride I would do was about 15-20 miles from the turn to get on 12 and to where I would stop and turn around to do it all again. This road is a dream for sportbike riders, and spectacular for touring bike riders. Trust me, HWY 12 doesnt disappoint.
A really nice way to travel across parts of these northern states. Lots of corners and great backdrop, a classic. Enjoy
