Excellent route with great views and a variety of corners. Surface is pretty good in most places as well. You start off with a pretty flat section of fast sweepers and then after Prats-de-Mollo the road starts to climb up to the Col dAres at the French/Spainish border. The road then drops down in similar vain to Camprodon. I turned right at Camprodon and took the GIV5264 to the Valter 2000 ski resport. Not the greatest road but some amazing views.

An absolute gem of a road, leading out of France. Some of the roads approaching this route are horrible in the extreme (they had just been topdressed) but this road was a welcome relief. It leads from twisty wooded canyons gradually opening up as altitude is obtained. Once through the bottleneck of Prats-de-Mollo its time to open your wrist for a very fast uphill section with nice (but not deadly) bends. The Spannish side sees fast open sweeping corners that take you down into Ripoll.
As long as you are in Ripoll you MUST go north through Ribes-de-Freser and over the Col Toses for yet more fast flowing sweeping bends with spectacular views.

This road is a peach it starts off with fast open sweepers that occasionally tighten up, lots of scenery, you then hit the uphill section, twisty, great views, across the cols, then boom when you hit spain the road surface changes and it is like a rollercoaster, fast sweepers and tight bends follow one another in quick succesion, there is bound to be at least one downhill bend which tightens up when least expected giving the brakes as well as your heart a real workout. You then pass through a tunnel and it becomes very fast dual carriageway with sweeping downhill bends that seem to go on forever at many points it is difficult to know if you are going up or down until you try to stop.
