Best road I can find near me, good views and not to busy. I like to pop into On Yer Bike when in the area, big dealer with plenty of choice. Other roads are near by so I´m sure you could put a nice loop togeather. Also a Services in Thame at the start of the B4011 is a good place to meet up.. Fuel, Burger King and a Starbucks what more could you want..

Lovely road. Not far from me. You can hook this up with the B4011 that crosses the A41. Watch out for tight blind bend as you head up to waddesdon and down.

This is my backyard and its terrific! Unfortunately, 50 mph signs were recently added (November?) at the Northen end in keeping with many other roads in Oxfordshire. However, the Southern end (Bucks) remains as NSL. This is still the best road for miles - well worth a visit but please keep to 30 in villages in case irate residents campaign for (and get) more restrictions. Enjoy!

I rode it in both directions and it's a cracker. One bit of it's like a roler coaster. Only done it in the winter though, will go back in the summer. On weekdays it carries a lot of heavy lorries, and theres a huge army and RAF base at Bicester so no shortage of traffic. Might be different on weekends. I agree, that it's well worth a trip on the A418 to Leyton Buzzard aswell. If your in the area, and fancy a good spin you've got this road, the A418, and the A413 aswell. If you live in London like me it's only approx 50 miles out.

This is my local quick blast route. And a blast it is from start to finish. I'm another Thame to Bicester, it's definitely the better way to do it. if you're in the area, it's a must! If you haven't had enough once you've done this bit, turn left at the roundabout at Thame onto the A418 and follow it up to Leyton Buzzard through Ayelsbury.

I live just off this road (about 50 metres) so get to ride it on a daily basis in all weathers! It's absolutely fantastic, and I don't have a preference for which direction I'm going to be honest! I'd avoid it like the plague on a Sunday or Bank Holiday because the power rangers are out in force and all you get is Mr Akrapovic up and down all day, and no doubt 30 minutes after you hear the first one, you'll hear an ambulance screaming down the road!Only 1 section of 30mph which is Oakley (some tight bends here to) and its a regular camera van spot. Nice pub towards the Thame end. Road really is every bikers wet dream!

I agree it's best Thame to Bicester. No cameras but as said before there have been a few deaths and the police do sometimes use unmarked cars on this section (but not often) . one bend in particular tightens up not too hard but it can catch you out so first time beware. also nasty off camber on one bend in particular. Stick to the 30 through Oakley as this is where you will get screwed big time.

Live in the area and ride the route regularly and it is still good to get out on. Been a number of deaths on the road so watch out for nasty bend just after a long straight before Oakley, near where the Train Robbers holed up at Leatherslade. Would agree that Thame to Bicester is best direction to ride it.

Coppers know about this road, so, be alert. They aren't policing it very rigorisly tho', but they are known to keep an eye on it. I always find going from Thame towards Bicester is a better route than the other way round. If you're going North on the M40 and you're bored, come off at J6 and take the B4012 to Thame to continue on the B4011. If you miss J6 come off at J7 (Hughenden bike shop) or J8 Oxford Services, from both J6/J7 follow signs to Thame. Once at Bicester, go through town or around the circular road to B4100 towards Aynho that'll take you to the A43 and M40J10. A nice break off the Motorway. Enjoy!

Quite technical because of the medium speed bend sections. Can be quite busy during peak times.
