A stunning route that links the best parts of the Yorkshire Wolds, North Yorkshire moors and Howardian hills and the exceptional Stokesley-Helmsely road. 115 miles is a decent distance but Whitby is placed right in the centre for and fish and chip dinner.I found it difficult to categorise the route as it differs massively. The first section linking Wetwang and Malton is quick with a great road surface and wide open bends with great views made even better due to the constantly changing elevation. The section between Pickering and Whitby takes in the moors. Huge views, great roads, and as fast as you like.Stokesley to Helmsely is simply exceptional. A well known route that gets better overtime I ride it. Some of the best views you will find in the UK, with a decent road surface and roads that tighten up and open out just the way you would want them to. Big speeds aren´t needed to enjoy this road - absolute bliss. It doesn´t stop at Helmsley either, the Howardian hills are a little less spectacular than stokesley-helmseley but very worthy of this route. Enjoy!
